Blue Suede News #9 (officially
it's called Vol. Two Number 3) from June 1987 in NEW condition. Can you
believe we waited this long to put Elvis on our cover? And then it's
a cartoon! The related story is written by a local record store owner who
took the bus down to Seattle Center in 1962 to attend the
World's Fair and found Elvis cavorting and lip-synching
around the grounds, with movie cameras rolling! The other big story this
issue relates to a Northwest Rock'n'Roll Reunion involving players
from the early days out of bands like the Kingsmen, the Mark V, the Frantics,
Merrilee Rush (herself) and the Turnabouts, Paul Revere & The Raiders
(well Jim Valley, was in the Frantics, and Don and
the Goodtimes before joining the the Raiders as "Harpo"),
and DJ Danny Holiday. And the usual selection of local scene
reviews and gig news.
