68 pages with a slick cover. The issue features Grammy winner Dave Alvin,
excellent song writer, performer, producer and ex-Blasters guitarist.
His work spans Folk, Blues, Country, Swing, Jazz, Rockabilly and Rock'n'Roll,
he worked with Billy Bacon & The Forbidden Pigs, Tom Russell,
Katy Moffatt, The Derailers, Sonny Burgess, Christy McWilson, Red Meat,
Big Sandy and others. Rockabilly and Country singer Helen Hall is
interviewed. She was friends with music pioneer Charline Arthur and
maybe you have heard Helen's song Hello Baby in a car commercial recently!
Her 50s songs appear on the "Gals of The Big D Jamboree CD.
The issue also includes a portrait of the rockin' rebel Charline Arthur
herself, she was rockin' and movin' and shakin' before Elvis ever got going
