Blue Suede News #2 (officially
it's called Vol. One Number 2) from April 1986 in NEW condition. The
Blue Suede News saga continues! A trade ad for the Roy Orbison flick
"The Fastest Guitar Alive" is on the cover, and we intended
to have a review of the film as our lead article, but Prof. Fred Hopkins
couldn't get that in on time! So instead we ran a short story by editor
Marc Bristol called "The Clarence Blisswater Story".
(this was later fleshed out into a full-length screenplay during 1988, the
year we weren't publishing) There is a story on Blues harpman Paul DeLay,
and a few reviews, a great photo of David Lindley performing
at Seattle's Backstage with his band El Rayo X, a column on
Fanzines, a story on the Songwriter Showcase at the University
Bistro with a picture of Gail Davies performing there, and various
regional gig and radio info.
