Blue Suede News #12 (officially
it's called Vol. Three Number 1) from Early 1989 in NEW condition. We interviewed
Dave Shriver about being on the road with Eddie Cochran and
how he got in the Hollwywood Swingers, later renamed the Kelly
Four. There's a story on Marty Robbins, a review of Kent Morrill's
(of the Wailers) new LP at the time, and since this was our first
new issue after more than a year hiatus, and thefirst with a cover price
and national distribution, we included our "Church of Rock'n'Roll Manifesto",
since the new tagline read "House Organ of theChurch of Rock'n'Roll".
Don't miss it folks, still relevant today! There was a bit on Seattle's
Posies, and a column from "Fatcat" Patrick Lynch, who had
hosted the Jolly Roger Roadhouse AND the Owl Cafe - at their
time the main stops for Blues in Seattle. From this issue on we always had
meaty stories, or interviews.
